Basics

The core loop of Top Dog is simple: move, mark, fight, survive. Do those four things well and the REP follows.

1. Move

Steer with WASD and hold Shift to sprint. Sprinting drains stamina, so use it to reach a post or escape a fight, not constantly.

2. Mark

Get close to a post and press E to mark it. You'll channel briefly, then earn REP for as long as you hold it. Marking is your main source of points — always be looking for an open post.

3. Fight

Three tools, three jobs:

• Q Bark — stun rivals in a cone to interrupt a marker.
• B Bite — cheap, fast damage at close range.
• V Tackle — big damage and knockback to clear a post.

4. Survive

You have 100 HP. Use Space to jump/dodge with brief invulnerability, grab a bone to heal, and don't fight at low HP — a knockout takes you off the board for a few seconds and cancels any mark.
