Getting Started

Top Dog is a real-time .io arena. Up to 16 stray dogs spawn into a neighbourhood and fight to earn the most REP (reputation) before the match ends. The dog with the highest REP at the final whistle wins.

Joining a match

Click Play and you drop straight into a live arena — no install required. You can play as a guest, or register to keep your name and cosmetic progress. To pick a specific map, use the map menu in the top-left HUD or open a map directly, e.g. /play/?map=sunset-beach.

A match at a glance

  • Length: about 6 minutes per round.
  • Players: 12–16 dogs per arena.
  • Goal: earn the most REP, mainly by marking posts and landmarks.
  • End: a results screen shows the final standings and awards.

Your first 60 seconds

  1. Move out. Use WASD to head toward the nearest unmarked post.
  2. Start marking. Stand close to a post and begin your mark to earn REP over time.
  3. Watch your back. Rivals can interrupt you with a bark or bite. Keep an eye on the minimap.
  4. Grab a pickup. A bone heals you; a sausage boosts your sprint. Use them to survive early skirmishes.
  5. Manage stamina. Sprinting and abilities drain stamina — don't burn it all at once.
